Rews on Mills is seeking an experienced Culinary Manager to join the opening leadership team. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the kitchen, with a strong focus on consistency, organization, team development, food cost, and service standards. We are looking for someone who understands both the culinary and operational sides of the business. The right candidate should be comfortable leading service, developing cooks, managing prep and production, maintaining standards, and working closely with the broader management team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and service execution

• Maintain recipe, plating, portioning, and quality standards

• Manage prep levels, ordering, inventory, waste, and food cost

• Support scheduling and labor management

• Train, coach, and develop the culinary team

• Maintain strong sanitation and food-safety practices

• Assist with menu development, tastings, and seasonal changes

• Establish and maintain kitchen systems, checklists, and procedures

• Work closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth service

• Support special events, private dining, and Bar programming

Qualifications

• Previous culinary management experience in a quality-driven restaurant

• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and cost controls

• Experience leading and developing teams

• High level of organization and attention to detail

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain standards in a high-volume environment

• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements
